NYSPHSAA posts a chart showing future start dates as well as future championship dates on their website (click championships and then 7 year calendar). 

Important INFORMATION for the

Fall 2026 Season

Season Start Dates:

• Tryouts for all Varsity, JV and Freshman Football teams will begin on Monday, August 17, 2026. 

  • Tryouts for all other Varsity, JV and Freshman teams will begin on Monday, August 24, 2026. 

  • Tryouts for Modified Football will begin on Thursday, August 27, 2026. 

  • Tryouts for all other Modified teams will begin on Monday, August 31, 2026 (please note this is a change effective 6/3/26).

• Family ID/Arbiter opens up for medical clearance on Monday, July 20, 2026.

• Family ID/Arbiter closes on Friday, August 14 for Varsity, JV and Freshman Football teams, on Friday, August 21 for all other Varsity, JV and Freshman teams and on Wednesday, August 26 for all Modified teams.

• Private Physicals must be dated on or after August 1, 2025 to be eligible for medical clearance.. The required NYS physical form can be found here. School physicals will be offered on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 4:30-7:00p in the High School East New Gym. If you plan on attending, please sign up here.

• APP Testing (recommended 7th and 8th graders only) will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 8 a.m.at High School East. Students should meet at the High School East Satellite entrance and should bring signed parent permission and score forms from this webpage with them to testing.
