November 2024 Book Fair.

The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming!

Dear Families,

It’s that time of year again…  The Scholastic Book Fair is in person from Monday, November 4 through Friday, November 8 and it’s online from Monday, November 4 through Sunday, November 17.  Book Fair preview flyers are being sent home with your children this week and teachers will be letting families know when classes will be visiting.  Cash, credit cards and checks are accepted by Scholastic Book Fairs, but please remember…checks should be made out to the Orenda PTA, only checks filled out by an adult will be accepted, and only adults may use credit cards.  Unfortunately, I am required to charge tax on all purchases.  Please remember to send a little extra money with your child(ren) to cover tax.  With that being said, Scholastic now offers a wonderful feature called eWallet.  If you would prefer not to send your child to school with cash or a check you can now set up an account for your child.  Your child’s account information will be on the Scholastic computer register when he/she checks out.  Students will NOT be able to go over the amount you allow.  It’s very easy, very convenient, and less stressful.

Also, don’t forget, the book fair is online!  You can find all kinds of information on books, fair times, and eWallet while visiting the following website.  Any book that is ordered online will be delivered directly to your child(ren) at home.

Finally, I would like to stress that this is a book fair.  Students are not able to purchase posters, knick knacks (pencils, erasers, etc.), or toys.  The only toys that may be available to purchase are attached to the occasional book.

Please contact the library at manorebe@shenschools.org if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Manore
