Most users are familiar with using Google Classroom through the web-based interface. As of 11/20/20, a second option, the mobile APP, is now available on on Gr 3-5 Chromebooks (was already available for Gr 6-12). Although the "look" is slightly different, most features are the same as the web-based version with one important exception...the APP allows users to annotate on PDFs. Watch this video for details. Find the Classroom APP on the "shelf" along the bottom of the Chromebook screen. It's the regular Classroom icon surrounded by a white circle.

Understanding that teacher/student communication can be greatly enhanced through email, and in response to teacher requests, STUDENT EMAIL isenabled for students beginning at Grade 3. This is internal email only (students can only send and receive messages from @shenschools.org accounts). Students and parents were asked to view this video and discuss email etiquette and responsibilities.
