Welcome back to school!
2022-2023 OPEN HOUSE Information for ELA was given to you by classroom teachers ...
some schools also had Special Area flyers.
The Literacy Specialist/ELA program was established in 2005 to reinforce specific ELA skills and strategies for students K-5. The skills in need are identified by New York State and local assessments and are reviewed annually. The Literacy Specialists supplement these skills taught by the classroom teachers in order to enhance the District and State English Language Arts programs. The components of this program include reading, writing, listening, speaking, and oral language. Our lessons reflect our dedication to supporting the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards & 21st Century Skills. The Shenendehowa Literacy Specialists' goals are to create a cohesive ELA program across the district that facilitates student achievement and growth.
