Fisher House Fundraiser 2021

Fisher House is a program for families of military service members receiving medical care at VA medical centers. Fisher Houses offer free and temporary lodging, allowing families to be close to their loved ones during the healing process. As of March 2021, there are 91 Fisher Houses in the US, Germany and the United Kingdom. In Connecticut, a Fisher House is located on the campus of the VA Hospital in West Haven.

The Fisher House events took place from Monday-Thursday, selling bracelets and ornaments outside of the cafeteria during homeroom. We also participated in a Veterans/Hat Day event. Students were encouraged to wear red, white & blue and also bring in $1 to wear a hat. The money collected from this event will go to support the Fisher House.

☃️Candy cane grams ☃️

" The candy cane grams are getting sold out from the fourteen to the seventeenth. They are getting shipped out on the twenty-third. It's a little card you get and it's for a dollar. You fill out simple questions like who it's from, who it's to, the homeroom teacher. You can write a little note inside on the card and you give it to the student council and they ship it out to the person who you want to receive the card. " Cristian Alves and Zachary Vargas.

A big thank you to Cristian Alves and Zachary Vargas and the student council.
