Credit Recovery Regulations and Attendance

Student Behavior

Students are to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. Appropriate grooming and dress is required. Appropriate summer wear is permitted. All Board of Education policies are in effect, including no smoking or using substances of any kind on school grounds. If a student is not displaying appropriate behavior his/her guardian will be contacted and they may have to be withdrawn from their course.

Program Effort and Attendance

A high school student must have a minimum average of 55 and must be recommended by the subject teacher in order to register for the class for credit recovery purposes. No more than one high school or middle school level subject may be taken. The student is expected to follow their course plan, use technology appropriately and attend all in class sessions deemed necessary by the instructor of the course. If illness does arise documentation from a physician excusing the student may be necessary and all assignments missed will need to be made up. The student will show mastery of the course by successfully completing the course work and participating in class discussions. Tardies and early dismissals are not permitted.

Students Attending an Out of District School

Acceptance of credit is left to the discretion of the principal of the school the pupil attends. At the end of the program, a summary of performance and grade will be forward to the school of record.

Technology Use

Technology will be used throughout the Summer Learning Program in the credit recovery courses. Students will be provided with chromebooks to assist with the completion of work. It is the responsibility of the student to maintain the chromebook they are assigned and return it at the end of the Summer Learning Program.
