Our Philosophy
Golden Bear Preschool's mission is to provide a high-quality preschool experience in partnership with families. Together, we aim to support each child's growth and learning in a positive, child-centered environment.
Our philosophy is that play is essential to a child's development—it helps children socialize, communicate, take risks, and solve problems. That’s why our classrooms are designed to be warm, safe, and inspiring spaces where children can explore, grow, and develop a positive sense of self.
At Golden Bear Preschool, TBRI (Trust-Based Relationship Intervention) is at the core of our approach to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for children. By fostering safety, building healthy relationships, and empowering students, we help them grow to their fullest potential.
AM 8:00-10:30 (Wed. dismiss at 10:10) / PM 12:00-2:30 (Wed. dismiss at 2:10)
Drop off begins at 7:50 for am and 11:50 for pm
2 days a week / Tues. and Thurs. / $80 per month
3 days a week / Mon. Wed. and Fri. / $120 per month
5 days a week / Mon.-Fri. / $200 per month

5 days a week / Mon.-Fri. / $450 per month
Opens at 6:40 AM and must enroll to be accepted.
5 days/week = $54/month
3 days/week = $32/month
2 days/week = $22/month
AYS is an outside company that comes to Golden Bear Preschool to run our after-school care program. Families must enroll through their online portal and choose Golden Bear Preschool as their location for care.

Golden Bear Preschool follows Shelbyville Central Schools' calendar which includes early release Wed., eLearning, snow days, and two-hour delays.
