In addition to the Global Campus programme which opens to all students looking for regular opportunities to meet others, make friends and settle into life in the University and city, there are also a range of societies and sports clubs which is a good place for meeting other students, making connections, and expanding your network. Additional information and guidance is available for specific student groups and communities, such as BAME students, LGBT+ students and mature students.
It can be a challenge to connect with others whilst at University, so we’ve partnered with Umii, a free app that can connect you to other University of Sheffield students based on your interests, course type and societies. Whether you want to chat to students with the same interests, find someone to study with, or if you're looking for members for your society or sports team, Umii can help make it happen.
