The network hosts regular meetings and social gatherings, both online and in person. These provide opportunities for members to connect, discuss topics relevant to international staff, and contribute ideas for the future direction of the network. Over the past year, we've held a couple of successful events, including a Christmas get-together where members had the chance to relax, socialise, and celebrate the festive season together, as well as several opportunities to discuss University policies that impact international staff.Â

Using an intercultural communication approach, this workshop involves a dynamic and interactive Story Circle activity designed to move beyond a deficit-based, assimilationist perspective within the international community. This session will provide an introductory framework for all staff (home and international) to engage in critical intercultural learning, fostering self-awareness, mutual understanding, and meaningful interaction.
