The International Staff Network is a space for international staff to connect, share experiences, and ensure their voices are heard. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds - some are a national of a different country, some have dual nationality, some are born and raised in the UK but have an international family background. If you self identify as an international staff member, you can join the network!
The network hosts regular meetings and social gatherings, both online and in person. These provide opportunities for members to connect, discuss topics relevant to international staff, and contribute ideas for the future direction of the network.
Over the past year, we've held a couple of successful events, including a Christmas get-together where members had the chance to relax, socialise, and celebrate the festive season together, as well as several opportunities to discuss University policies that impact international staff.
The International Staff Network is open to all staff who self-define themselves as international, whether you are British with an international background, or a national from another country.
In 2025, our first official Committee was formed, integrating colleagues from different parts and within different roles at the university.
