Main Projects

Antenna Building

Our members had a go at building some 433 MHz antennas using basic construction materials such as wooden dowels and bamboo skewers. We also trained people in using RF measurement equipment like a VNA.

POTA Setup

While our luck was against us whenever we tried to operate portable, we did develop an excellent portable solution to get a radio running in a park. Thanks once again to Icom for their generous donation of an IC-7100

Worksop Amateur Radio Club Visit

In May, a group of UoSARC members visited the Worksop Amatuer Radio Club, for a day of practical activities - setting up portable radios, using HF (including a remote station) and VHF repeaters. All this allowed our new foundation licensees to get lots of hands on expeirence
