T4I2017 will occur at St. Mary’s Church and Conference Centre, Sheffield, on 15th September 2017 as part of the AAATE2017 Congress. The Centre for Assistive Technology and Connected Healthcare (CATCH) at the University of Sheffield are the hosts. Each year T4I focuses discussion on issues and innovation in AT related best practice, innovation and service delivery. All life domains are relevant so that includes health, education, employment, leisure and daily living.
This is a unique opportunity for Assistive Technology practitioners and researchers to meet, an opportunity for practitioners to present case studies and service evaluation papers, and an opportunity for researchers to engage with practitioners and service users who work with AT day in day out.
Call for Short Communications (Papers) is now open until 23.06.2017 (Extended Deadline)!
We invite those working to use or innovate Assistive Technolgy and associated services to submit short communications (paper) for presentation or as posters for Technology for Independence (T4I 2017). We extended the deadline also to allow time to submit a contribution on prosthetics see below. Draft Programme is expected for June 27th.
NEW: Call for Contributions on Prosthetics
The NIHR Devices for Dignity Healthcare Technology Co-operative is leading a national initiative to develop a research collaboration in child prosthetics (http://devicesfordignity.org.uk/starworks_cp/). We would welcome short papers from experts working in the field of upper or lower limb prosthetics covering a range of key topics such as: development of new limbs to better integration of the limb with the body and mind. Accepted submissions will either be allocated a presentation slot or a poster. Deadline: 23.06.2017
