Almost half of respondents identify as Casual Workers or Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) that are employed on non-exclusive zero hours agreements.
Around two-thirds have roles relating to teaching of students.
The vast majority of respondents feel that the University of Sheffield is their main employer.
Only half feel appropriately paid for the work they do for the University.
And this is reflected similarly in more than half dissatisfied with their employment status at the University of Sheffield.
Staff are often told to resolve issues regarding employment informally with managers and Human Resources, however only half of respondents have been able to do so with an unknown outcome.
