There is no fire alarm scheduled on the day. If the alarm does sound please make your way to the assembly point which is out of the front of the building and under the concourse.
If you will need any assistance in the event of an evacuation please let Rea Smith (Faculty Doctoral School Manager) and/or the Octagon team know.
The Showcase will take place in The Octagon. Facilities include:
A manned cloakroom
Accessible toilets
There will be a sensory friendly room (signage on the day)
For accessibility information for The Octagon please use AccessAble.
During the event we remind attendees to be mindful of peers. We will be operating a ‘jazz hands’ approach to celebrating and supporting peers, so please no clapping.
The schedule includes sessions where moving around is encouraged but please stand, move and leave/rejoin the room as suits you. There will be chairs for some presenters and others scattered throughout the main hall
If you want to bring fidget “toys” or other stim equipment please do so.
