Sheffield Engineering Leadership and Service Award
Developing the leaders of tomorrow, today.
Developing the leaders of tomorrow, today.
Sheffield Engineering Leadership and Service Award (SELSA) develops engineering undergraduate students to become the leaders of tomorrow.
Based within The Faculty of Engineering at The University of Sheffield, our aim is to support students to develop their skills, confidence and aptitude to make a positive difference in their career, whether that be within industry or in research.
SELSA members are recruited through a competitive selection process specifically designed to identify and recognise potential. Our cohorts are multi-disciplinary, so our students could be studying anything from aerospace to bioengineering or civil engineering to computer science (as well as everything else in between), simulating the reality of industry. This has led to the impact of SELSA being felt across the engineering industry.
Industry involvement is central to the programme. Our industry partners provide motivational speakers, industrial challenges, site visits and deliver skills training to our members. SELSA members learn from these opportunities, whilst industry benefits from the opportunity to work with top engineering talent, identify exceptional candidates, and play a role in their education.
Our Programme could not happen without the kind and generous support of our sponsors
