Upcoming events in 2025/2026:
Friday 1st May 2026- Excel Workshop Class
Excel is an essential tool for economics students, both as a means of analysing data / forecasting results throughout your degree, but also as a core requirement for securing internships, placements and graduate schemes.
Led by an Economics student who recently completed a professional placement year, this workshop bridges the gap between academic requirements and workplace reality. You will hear first hand how to use Excel not just as a student, but as an aspiring professional.
Session info is as follows: Date: Fri 1st May Time: 1pm - 2pm Venue: LT1 in the Wave
There is also a google form where you can submit your preferences for topics to be covered that you can click on here, which we can use to tailor the session to what people want to see.
Since this is an interactive workshop, you are welcome to either join and simply watch / take notes, or you can bring your laptop with excel installed and participate in real time. If you would like to participate but don’t have excel, please follow this link for more information on downloading excel. If you do not have a laptop but would like to join, please follow this link for more information on university laptop hire (which would have excel pre-installed).
