A place for all with an interest in pancreatic cancer.
Helen Matthews
Principal Investigator
Helen is a cell biologist and group leader in the School of Biosciences, who was awarded the Wellcome Trust/Royal Society Sir Henry Dale Fellowship to establish her group in 2021. Her research group are interested in understanding how cell shape and mechanics contribute to cancer initiation and therapy response in Pancreatic Cancer.
Victoria Hart
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Cell biologist passionate about translating basic cell biology into diagnostic and treatment improvements for cancer patients. As a member of the Helen Matthews lab, she studies how cell shape and mechanics impacts the response of pancreatic cancer cells to a new class of treatment, KRAS inhibitors.
Ameera Jailani
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Cancer biologist with 10+ years of translational research experience—including the development of small molecules and antibodies against heteromeric receptor complexes—exploring how tumor–stromal signaling and complex receptor biology drive pancreatic cancer’s notorious resistance to treatment.
