The suspension of face to face teaching caused by the Covid-19 pandemic caused educators to consider how to deliver practical teaching to students without access to the equipment available on their campus. Multidisciplinary Engineering Education (MEE) has considerable expertise in identifying the learning that takes place during practicals and the best methods to achieve it, and were therefore able to develop alternative approaches to delivering practical teaching experiences throughout this time and to great effect.
The aim of this resource is to share this expertise, to reflect on why we choose to include practical learning as part of an engineering curriculum, and to inspire alternative methods to deliver those learning outcomes that may not have previously been considered.
You can use this resource as-is for your own teaching or you can adapt it to suit your own needs, as long as the full terms of the licence are followed.
