Our work is focussed on the structures, properties and reactivity of molecular surfaces on nm length scales.

The work that we do is motivated by longstanding interests in the fundamental physical chemistry of organic molecules at surfaces, and underpinned by many years' experience of surface analysis of organic materials. Our laboratories are equipped with a wide range of state-of-the-art instrumentation for surface spectroscopy and scanning probe microscopy. The Sheffield Surface Analysis Centre provides a resource for scientists both internal and external to the University of Sheffield.
