The School of Architecture and Landscape's Live Projects programme sees teams of students take over the Urban Room every year in October.
Our space at 108 The Moor provides a valuable city centre base for public consultation, co-design and 1:1 testing of design prototypes. The Urban Room brings the vibrancy of Live Projects to the high street and allows students to involve a wider range of stakeholders in the production of their projects. Activities (and structures) often travel beyond the confines of the Room itself and out into the street, neighbourhood and city.
Student residencies in the Urban Room are an important part of the pedagogic mission of Live Works and are an anchor for the curation of the space across the rest of the academic year.
