Live Works provides the setting for the annual interactive installation by performing arts group The Bare Project, helping participants 'weave a space for women in the city' on the street outside 108 The Moor.
The project invites members of the public, local creatives, craftspeople and other stakeholders together to participate in a celebration of craft and culture, centred around ancient practices of weaving. The output of the project is an installation, built in real time, on the public precinct outside the 108 shop front.
The Urban Room provides the necessary supporting facilities for volunteers and visitors during the project, including power, catering provisions, toilets and indoor space for activities to continue in the event of rain.
The project is becoming a vital part of the Urban Room calendar, helping to bring an intensity of activity and vibrance to the public realm.
