Description
Do you want to stand out from the crowd and promote yourself and your work effectively online? Do you already use online tools but worry you're not making the most of them? This workshop will help you to:
share, promote and discuss your research with a wide range of people
distinguish yourself from others and promote yourself professionally
find people working in the same field, and potential collaborators
This session will introduce you to readily-available online tools enabling you to maximise your influence on the research community. Using a workbook, you will be able to choose from a range of platforms and tools to explore, including LinkedIn, ORCID, ResearchGate, and Google Scholar. You will begin to create an online personal profile, or enhance your existing digital presence, ready to share with other researchers and potential employers. You won't build your profiles in a day but the aim of this workshop is to get you started.
