The Early Career Fellowship offers vital support to recent PhD graduates (or equivalent) from Indonesia, facilitating a dynamic research experience spanning 6 to 12 months at the University of Sheffield’s Faculty of Engineering.
Under the mentorship of either Prof. Ashutosh Tiwari FREng, Prof. Solomon Brown, Prof. Tuck Seng Wong, or Dr. Kang Lan Tee, Fellows will benefit from Sheffield’s comprehensive academic and professional resources tailored for early career academics.
Placements, ranging from 6 to 12 months, can commence between September and November 2024, in agreement with the host institute.
The Fellowship encompasses the following provisions:
Stipend of £29,605 per annum, pro-rata for fellowships shorter than 12 months
£10,000 per annum (pro rata for shorter fellowships) allocated for research-related expenses, covering consumables, minor equipment, domestic travel within the UK, publication fees, or other project-related costs.
Coverage of the IELTS exam fee for scholars lacking a valid Test of English proficiency.
Economy-class return travel from the home country to the UK.
Coverage of visa, insurance, and NHS surcharge expenses.
