Xinshan (Shannon) Li is Senior Lecturer in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering, member of the Insigneo Institute and integrative musculo-skeletal biomechanics research group.
Shannon has given seminars on Writing a Research Paper in the past and has the following to say about this session: "Writing up a paper is a daunting task - but it becomes easy when you know how to start! In this seminar, I will talk about the general approach when it comes to preparing and writing a paper. When is there enough result to start writing? I will outline the key sections of a scientific journal paper, what they are and what to write in each section. I will also give some tips on how to approach the writing of different sections, the order of writing and ways to get started, especially if this is your first publication. This seminar will be particularly useful for those who are thinking of or currently writing their first scientific publication, or as a refresher for those who already have experience in publication"
