Welcome to the Insigneo Institute’s Early Career Researcher (ECR) group webpage. Our ECR group aims to help ECRs across our interdisciplinary membership to connect and enrich their research, with a focus on networking and career development opportunities.
Our ECR group is open to all Insigneo Members who are PhD students, postdocs, fellows, lecturers and those who self-define as an ECR.

Insigneo-themed PubhD networking event
PubhD (Pub + PhD) Sheffield is a PGR student-led group that hosts monthly sessions where 2–3 Sheffield-based PhD students present their research to the public in an informal, engaging way — using nothing more than a whiteboard. The aim is to spark discussion, build confidence in presentation skills, and make research accessible to everyone.
Please fill in the form to express your interest in either attending or presenting. Although the event takes place in a local pub, there is no requirement to consume alcohol.
