Dr Tom Pering, Senior Lecturer in Volcanology, uses Meta Quest VR headsets and an application called Wander to allow Geography students to explore various volcanoes around the world in an immersive way.
Dr Bobby Nisha, Senior Lecturer in Urban Design, uses HTC Vive VR headsets and 3D design software with her USP students to design cities which are later 3D printed.
Wooclap is an online quiz and polling tool used at the University to create interactive and engaging teaching content. Dr Ruth Hamilton, GIS Lecturer, uses Wooclap to provide an interactive element on a USP module: "This is a pretty dry session so I wanted to have a task to wake students up - and also get them to think a bit about some of the topics. They are all multiple choice or yes/no questions. The slide following each question provides the 'answer'."
