Hello and welcome to the Faculty of Science. Firstly, congratulations on securing a place at Sheffield University. Coming to Sheffield marks the end of school education and the beginning of a new chapter in your life. We hope the next few years will be enjoyable as well as fruitful. Have a safe journey to Sheffield and your Faculty School/Deparment will look forward to meeting you at Intro Week!
Before you arrive
You will most likely have received emails from the university as to sorting your accommodation, applying for student finance and completing your pre-registration tasks.
In this case, please take time to go through the University guidance page about what you need to do before you arrive at the University.
Module choice (Biosciences students only)
Important: If you are a student in the School of Biosciences, one of the steps in your pre-registration tasks is to select your modules for the forthcoming academic year. This is completed as part of the registration process before the semester begins. Information on Biosciences module choices can be found here:
For students in other Departments and Schools, module selection takes place during Intro Week.
