As an aerospace graduate you have a wide range of career options, primarily within the aerospace and aviation sectors but also in other high-tech industries.  

Your multidisciplinary skill set, strong analytical and problem solving skills opens up a wide range of opportunities. 

Graduates typically work in sectors  such as aerospace, aviation, transport, manufacturing, finance, energy and power, defence, and the armed forces.

Recent UoS graduates have gone on to work all over the world, for employers including Airbus, BAE Systems, Collins Aerospace, Deloitte LLP, ESA,  Easy Jet, Frazer Nash Consultancy, and the UK Atomic Energy Authority.

Job roles include Aerospace Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Graduate Systems Engineer, Integration Engineer, and Development Engineer.

92% of Aerospace graduates are in graduate level employment or further study 15 months after finishing their studies (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2022/23, home UGT graduates, based on responses from 75 graduates).
