Being a student ambassador is a great way to inspire future generations of engineers as well as develop your communication skills. Student ambassadors work at open days, carry out STEM outreach activities in schools, or provide peer-peer support. Volunteering as an academic representative gives you experience of participating in professional meetings and collaborating with senior colleagues within your academic department.
