The TUoS Data Stewards Network is a collaborative community that unites colleagues involved in data stewardship across the University to promote visibility, recognition, and support for their vital roles. The network provides members with access to an online hub of resources, regular opportunities to share good practices, engage in peer learning, and receive relevant training that can be disseminated within their teams. Through a dedicated communications channel, members can discuss challenges, share opportunities, and foster collaboration. A key goal of the network is to map and formalise data stewardship activities across the institution, ensuring these contributions are acknowledged and integrated as a critical part of the University’s research ecosystem.
The aims of this hub are:
to collate materials that are useful to data stewards - these might include resources, training opportunities, relevant policy information and more
to collate and share information about data steward roles, which could be useful to data stewards (e.g. when advocating for the recognition of data stewardship elements of their role) and those interested in hiring data stewards
