The Cultural Industries Research Network (CIRN) is a network of researchers open to all staff and research students working on, or with, the broadly defined creative and cultural industries (CCIs) across the University of Sheffield. At our launch event this summer, we will invite prospective members to help us shape the scope and direction of the network to help build and sustain momentum for this initiative.

Initially, the network will be coordinated and led by Dr Mark Taylor (Sheffield Methods Institute), alongside Dr Sophie Bishop (Management School), Dr Ysabel Gerrard (Sociological Studies), Prof David O’Brien (Management School), Katie Pruszynski (Faculty of Social Sciences), and Dr Alexandra Woodall (Management School).

A launch event will be held on Tuesday 5th July 2022. The initial priorities of the network will be led by the suggestions of our members during a planning workshop at our network launch.
