Several times a year The Brilliant Club Scholars Programme recruits, trains and places doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from The University of Sheffield in schools to deliver short programmes of university-style tutorials, supplemented by two university trips. The Scholars Programme is designed to emulate the learning that students experience at highly-selective universities, with the expectation that each pupil will be able to produce a high standard assignment at the end of the course (a key stage higher than their current level).Â
On this webpage we will showcase the contributions our own students and research staff have made to this initiative and highlight not only what they themselves have gained from being a part of it, but also the impact of their teaching in local schools.
