Consent & Data Management
Consent
Our participation information sheet is free to download. Please feel free to use this, or adapt it to suit your own institution’s needs.
Consent should be obtained from the individual by the usual method used within your institution or setting. Copies of consent forms should not be sent to Bridging the Gap as we don’t store any personal-identifiable data whatsoever. When you submit an image for inclusion in our repository, you are also confirming that appropriate consent for use of the image for educational purposes has been sought, and that the individual is fully aware of how these images will be used. The individual should be made aware that due to the anonymisation protocol, it is impossible for images to be deleted on request after submission.
Data Management
Individual image contributors should be aware that due to the anonymisation procedure, it is impossible for images to be deleted on request following submission.
Images will be reviewed periodically to ensure that they appear current, and not dated. Images will be deleted to allow space for up-to-date replacements as required.
Access to the repository is by written request. The images are not available to the general public, either freely or for a charge.
The Bridging the gap images repository is stored securely within Google Drive.
