Journal Special Issue

Special issue of HEA Engineering Education Journal

Spreading good practice from control education into broader engineering disciplines.

  • Scheduled publication: late 2013

  • Deadline for submissions: May 2013.

  • Guest Editor: J A Rossiter

Call for papers and themes

The main aim of this special issue is to draw together good practice in the control education community, which is supported by strong evidence and evaluation. There is no intention to restrict the topics at this point, so interested authors are invited to contact the editor in advance to discuss their ideas before preparing a full manuscript.

However, the journal is particularly keen that submissions have a clear potential for effective cross-over into other engineering disciplines and thus are of interest to a broad readership.

Some obvious examples could be

  • remote, virtual and normal laboratories

  • alternative assessment procedures

  • developing student employability skills

  • enabling effective student learning

  • what is important in an undergraduate control module?

Submission

In the first case, authors should submit manuscripts by email to the guest editor Anthony Rossiter.

Style and length requirements are available on the journal website. Typically a single journal edition will accept about eight papers. Overseas contributions are welcomed.
