Welcome to the Mental Well-being section of the site. This page will give you information on what mental well-being is, how you can improve your own mental well-being and what the College can do to support you to do so.
Mental well-being describes your mental state which is how well you are feeling and how well you cope with day-to-day life. Mental well-being is dynamic and it can change from moment to moment or day to day. It is important to look after your mental well-being as continued low well-being over a long period of time can lead to developing a mental health problem. Having good mental well-being can support us in everything that we do, making us more productive and having positive relationships with those around us.
If you are currently going through a period of low mental well-being, it is important to remember that you are not alone. 1 in 4 adults in the UK suffer with low mental well-being! If you need urgent help, please go to our Suicide Prevention page.
