Grades 3-5 Gen Ed and Sp Ed Teachers Overview

Today, the 3-5 general education and special education teachers will be participating in training sessions centered around the following topics:

• Phonological Awareness and Phonics Instruction

• Spelling

• NWEA Data and Reports

• Computer Science Standards (click here to access CS Scope and Sequence)

Grades 7-8 ELA and Sp Ed Teachers Overview

Today, the 7-8 ELA teachers and special education teachers will spend time working on:

• Updating curriculum maps to align with new textbooks;

• Creating common assessments and linking them to the curriculum maps; and

• Developing common writing benchmarks (one/quarter) and linking them to the curriculum maps.
