Mathematics

In Year 10 Mathematics, students continue to work on Phase 4 of the National Curriculum. The course covers all six strands of the curriculum (Number, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, Statistics and Probability) and builds on material learnt in Year 9. 

Course Focus

We cover the following strands:

• Number - numerical concepts and systems.

• Algebra - generalisation and mathematical reasoning.

• Measurement - quantifying phenomena using units and systems.

• Geometry - space, shape and transformation

• Statistics - focuses on data and uncertainty.

• Probability - chance and likelihood

 Students are well prepared for Year 11 Mathematics in the following year.
