About Mrs. Peterson

I want to welcome you and your child into my classroom. My name is Mrs. Nikki Peterson and I will be your child’s kindergarten teacher.

In my classroom each child is unique and has the ability to learn and succeed. One of my jobs is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work with them to maximize that potential. Your child will become a reader and writer by learning sight words and studying letter sounds, through our reading program. With our Singapore Math, we use many hands on materials to apply numbers to real life.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married to John, we have a son Noah and a daughter Stella. We have a very busy house this year. It’s exciting to watch Noah and Stella grow and learn, just like the students in my class. I also enjoy running and biking. I have completed a few Triathlons and 10K races.

I look forward to working along side you and your child this school year. I encourage you to visit our classroom whenever you can.
