A proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Miss Kuehn holds a degree in Music Education and is a woodwind specialist, with a primary focus on the bassoon. Her extensive knowledge of woodwind pedagogy supports students across all sections, with a focus on developing tone, technique, and musical expression.
Miss Kuehn is passionate about creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where students can grow not only as musicians but also as confident, collaborative individuals.
Outside the classroom, Miss Kuehn teaches private bassoon lessons, handcrafts bassoon reeds, and serves as the website manager for the Glickman-Popkin Bassoon Camp, a prestigious summer program dedicated to bassoon performance and education. She remains active as a performer and is dedicated to fostering a strong community of young bassoonists and music students.

Desireé Whiteman, originally from Fort Worth, Texas, is a woodwind specialist with expertise in classical flute and jazz saxophone. She studied Instrumental Music Education at Oklahoma State University and brings with her a decade of performing experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Most recently, Whiteman served as Assistant Director of Bands at Putnam City North High School from 2023 to 2025.
During her time there, she successfully developed the school’s jazz program from a volunteer-based ensemble into a competitive, class-based offering, while also coaching multiple chamber ensembles that earned superior ratings at state competitions. Whiteman is passionate about music education and is committed to fostering student growth, excellence, and a vibrant musical culture.
Miss Whiteman directs the symphonic band, jazz band, high school beginning band, and beginning flute class. miss whiteman co-teaches the pride of the pack marching band, and 7th grade band with mr. craven and miss kuehn.
Kadyn Drummond serves as the Color Guard Program Coordinator for Shawnee High School, where she brings passion, dedication, and a strong vision for excellence in the performing arts. An alumna of the Shawnee Band program, Kadyn has been involved in the color guard and winter guard activity for over eight years.
Kadyn began working with Shawnee's guard program in 2023, initially serving as Assistant Director for two years. Her leadership, creative vision, and commitment to growth quickly elevated her to the role of Program Coordinator. Since stepping into this position, she has been instrumental in developing the program into a more competitive and dynamic unit. She is an active member of the Winter Guard and Percussion of Oklahoma (WGPO) Circuit and stays engaged in the broader marching arts community through continued performance and educational opportunities. Kadyn is a proud graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
