⭕️ Spring Pi Day Activities ⭕️
"The first National Pi Day was celebrated in the United States on March 14, 2009, after the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution declaring that this amazing mathematical relationship would be honored every March 14. Of course, mathematicians had been enjoying Pi Day for long before that—the Exploratorium in San Francisco, which is credited with inventing the holiday, holds a special celebration every year.
Many schools recognize Pi Day with mathematics activities, which typically include a contest to determine which student can recite the most digits of pi. I would encourage you to use the day for a more conceptual and creative exploration of this mathematical relationship and its importance." ~ Jo Boaler
