Dear Families!
Welcome to our summer program for currently enrolled preschoolers. We are excited to bring more authentic learning experiences during the summer time. The most important part of this program's success is the preschoolers we see everyday! As many of you know, my teaching philosophy is based on the Italian philosophy of Reggio Emilia. Reggio Emilia focuses on a student-centered environment that encourages children to learn through experience, express themselves and play a role in directing their education. Grow Natura is Reggio inspired with focus in nature and place-based learning.
The summer program will be $200 per week for Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, which are the same hours that the One Planet Program runs during the summer. There is NO Act 166 hours during the summer, which means that the tuition is in full $200 for the week ($40 per day). We are limited to the number of children that Matt and I can have and so we will fill up slots on a first come first serve basis for the summer. You can sign-up for all 7 weeks or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 weeks. Preschoolers are enrolled for the full week as well. Tuition billing will be done just as usual during the school year and Liz will do the billing as well. Tuition will be due July 6, 2023 for the selected summer enrollment.
The summer will be nature-based and focus on plant life and gardening, water cycle, sustainability, food, native animals, literacy and math. Preschoolers will be able to have hot lunch along with One Planet students. Our days will be spent 90% outside, rain or shine, with taking time inside for tempo tranquillo (resting). We will also do some field trips during the summer as well!
Luckily the only paperwork that I will need families to fill out is a “summer program enrollment” form, which I will create and have families fill out the closer we get to summer.
