About Me

Jamie Alm, CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Therapist who has been practicing since 2007. Her passion is finding ways to support connection through communication.  Jamie's experience as an SLT spans various sectors including working in the  Public Schools, Early Intervention Home services, Pediatric Autism clinic. telepractice. In each context, her encounters with children of ALL abilities and their families and communities have refined her commitment to play, storytelling, and the slow deep work of paying attention and listening.  Often this starts by playing on the ground with cars, painting with sticks and leaves, getting muddy at the park, or blowing bubbles. It includes coaching caregivers in growing their own skills which leads to richer connection and flourishing for all. Jamie's love of words and storytelling means that her therapy incorporates many literacy and pre-literacy activities into each encounter.

When she isn't practicing as an SLT, Jamie can be found hiking with her family, welcoming newcomers, playing with her dog, or cooking a delicious meal.
