Welcome to my website! I am Rebecca Wittman and I am the chorus director and general music teacher at Wilson Southern Middle School. I am incredibly excited to be teaching in the Wilson School District. I am a Wilson alumni, and know how great it is to be part of the Wilson community. Prior to teaching at Southern in 2022, I taught an array of K-12 general music and choir in both Maryland and Delaware. I earned my Bachelors of Music in Music Education at the University of Delaware. My primary instrument and major was in voice, but I have also studied a variety of other instruments such as piano, French horn, and viola. Outside of teaching, I have performed in various pit orchestras and choral ensembles. I also have a private voice and piano lesson studio in my home. It is safe to say that music is my life! 

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, our two daughters, and two dogs.  We do a lot of things with our family, and love to go on adventures. I love to bake, go antiquing, and decorate my home. I absolute love the beach, especially the Outer Banks. I love teaching music at Southern, and cannot wait to teach and make connections with your students!
