The links and videos below include all of the resources our school purchases for student and teacher use. Some require passwords to use from home.
All teachers and staff members may check out an unlimited number of physical items for classroom instruction.
Once a quarter, the library will send a printed reminder of what teachers currently have checked out to make sure items are returned in a timely manner. Please return items you are finished using so that others may enjoy and use them as well.

EPIC! ebooks offers a free teacher account for you and your students to use Monday through Friday, 7 am - 3 pm.
IMPORTANT! To use EPIC after school, your students' families need to sign up for a subscription.

Our library databases and passwords

Pebble Go & Pebble Go Next are research databases of trustworthy, age-appropriate information.
Every article has read-aloud features in a real person's voice. If your students use the links on the library website, they do NOT need a password to sign in.
Overview of Pebble Go features, all of which are also in Pebble Go Next too.
Capstone Connect lets you search Pebble Go and Pebble Go Next, and it gives you the direct link to share in [Your LMS Platform here]. No passwords or logins needed.
World Book Kids Encyclopedia is best for students in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade.
Articles have read-aloud features (in a robot voice).
World Book Student Encyclopedia (also in Spanish) is introduced in 3rd grade during library class.
Most students in 4th grade and above should be using this version. Articles have read-aloud features (in a robot voice).
This tutorial from Monroe County Public Libraries shows the features of World Book Student (starting at 1:10).
Power Kids databases include:
BookFlix - Book videos of fiction and nonfiction paired books on many topics.
TrueFlix - Book videos of nonfiction books, best for 3rd grade and up.
Gale Elementary - General research database with digitized magazines, newspapers, Encyclopedia Britannica articles, and some nonfiction ebooks. Can be filtered by reading level, but best for 3rd grade and up.
The full POWER Library (for adults) also includes the Teacher Reference Center, which has professional articles for graduate classes you may be taking.
These 4-minute tutorials are from the Berks County Public Libraries. When you are at school, you don't need a public library card, but from home, you and your students need to have a public library card number (or the ecard number from the Library Passwords document).

Research Wagon is a research and information website written by a practicing elementary teacher-librarian.
National Geographic Kids is a trusted resource for science facts and some social studies content.
This tutorial from the Paul Sawyier Public Library shows how to search and use the National Geographic Kids website.
Wonderopolis has questions (wonders) and answers in kid-friendly language.
DK Find Out has many captioned photos with information for elementary students.
DOGO News Articles has current event news for elementary students.
Paid accounts get added features, such as audio and simplified content.
