Decision Day-- will be held during the school day
A school assembly will be held to celebrate our senior class! The Class of 2023 will have the opportunity to announce their post-high school plans with the entire student body! The assembly will be held in the High School Gymnasium during the school day.

Specifics for Decision Day:
Seniors WITHOUT a first-period class should report to the auditorium by 8:15 AM, seniors WITH a first period should report to class and wait for the announcement to be dismissed to the auditorium
Seniors will receive instructions about the event and head to the HS gymnasium for the event, which will take place from approximately 9 AM to 10:30 AM
Seniors will remain after the event for a senior picture on the bleachers in the gymnasium

Mandatory graduation practice (8-11 am)-- Seniors will be issued their cap and gown at the conclusion of practice.
Baccalaureate (HS Auditorium, 6:30-7:15 pm)
Wilson High School hosts an optional Baccalaureate event for our graduating seniors every year prior to the commencement ceremony. This year, Baccalaureate will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 6:30 pm in the High School Auditorium. All graduating seniors and their immediate family members are invited to attend this event.
This inspiring evening features student musical performances, a special reflection by a member of the graduating class and an address by a local pastor. Check back for additional details.
Specifics for Baccalaureate:
Participating seniors should arrive at the Auditorium entrance and proceed to the Upper House gymnasium to line up by 6:15 PM. Participants should arrive in their Cap and Gown
Non-denominational service runs from 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM in the Auditorium
Seniors participating in Baccalaureate who are ALSO attending the Cap and Gown Party will be able to check in immediately after the event in the Auditorium lobby
Cap and Gown Party (HS Gym, 7:30-10:30 pm)
7:30 pm: Doors open at the High School Gymnasium main entrance
8:00 pm: Doors close
10:30 pm: Event concludes (if graduates choose to leave before the event concludes, they will not be permitted to re-enter)

Mandatory Graduation Practice (8-11 am)

Chromebook dropoff if students wish to donate to the Jamaica trip
Packet pickup/debt payoff
Diploma
Tickets for graduation
Final documents
Senior Survey
Senior gift
There will also be businesses present for students to speak with regarding employment opportunities if they are interested

Possible Graduation Practice (8 am)
Senior Walk-- Report to Bus Loop by 8:45 am (for seniors who signed up to participate)
Seniors report to the bus loop, located outside of the Upper House Gym entrance by 8:45 am on Friday, June 2.
Buses will arrive by 9 am for seniors to load.
Seniors have the opportunity to choose a “path” to take to the schools. Paths are are follows:
Path #1: Southern, Cornwall Terrace, Shiloh Hills
Path #2: West, Green Valley, Spring Ridge, Whitfield
We will return to Gurski Stadium by approximately 10:50 am.
Graduation Parade, Ceremony and Fireworks
6:00 pm: Parking lots open at GT Church (graduates participate in the parade with their family members)
6:15-7:15 pm Parade to High School Parking (High School Lots DO NOT OPEN until first car in procession arrives @ approx. 6:15 pm)
7:30 pm (approx): Graduation Ceremony starts in Gurski Stadium
9:15 pm: End of ceremony
Approx. 9:15 pm: Fireworks display
IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FIREWORKS CONCLUDE-- STUDENTS/ FAMILIES WILL EXIT GURSKI STADIUM
