While post-secondary education is an exciting step on a student’s journey to a career it is also an expensive one! There are various scholarships and bursaries available to students to help with tuition costs. Counsellors will assist students as they navigate through the scholarship process.
Al Hamilton Scholarship – application will open in June

Candidates must:
Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.
Demonstrate achievement in organized sports at a competitive level.
Demonstrate community leadership and involvement.
Candidates must also be residents of Alberta who are applying to an accredited post-secondary institution or vocational technical school in Canada.
Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers – July 13, 2026

Eligibility:
Applicants must be Canadian residents studying in Canada.
Applicants must be enrolled or expected to enroll in a post-secondary program of at least 2 years.
Applicants must be working for a current CFIG member (retail, associate, affiliate) or be a family member of an employee of a current CFIG member.

Awards are granted on the basis of financial need, community involvement, and leadership skills with the intent to encourage the pursuit of further education. Preference to students who demonstrate financial need.
Edmonton Kinsmen Club Salute 2 Youth Scholarship – application open

Criteria:
Must be a full-time grade 12 student who will be enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
The only academic requirement is a student has sufficient standing to be accepted into a post-secondary institution.
The Kinsmen Club of Edmonton's recognizes a student's commitment to community service and helping others. Thus, the student's participation in community service activities is more important than his or her academic standing for the purposes of this award.
Luke Santi Memorial Award – May 31, 2026
One award of $1000 is made each year to a student who has been accepted into a full-time academic program in Physical Sciences at a Canadian university.
