 Class Overview

Embark on an exciting artistic adventure! In our 'Art Explorers' class, young artists from Kindergarten to 6th grade will discover the joy of creating with a diverse range of materials and techniques. We'll journey through:

Drawing & Sketching:

• • From simple lines and shapes for our youngest artists, to more detailed observational drawing for older students, we'll explore pencils, crayons, charcoal, and more.

Painting & Color Mixing:

• • Dive into the vibrant world of color with watercolors, tempera paints, and acrylics. We'll learn color mixing, brush techniques, and create colorful masterpieces.

Sculpture & 3D Art:

• • Get hands-on with clay, paper mache, and recycled materials to build sculptures and explore three-dimensional art.

Collage & Mixed Media:

• • Combine different materials like paper, fabric, and found objects to create unique and textured artworks.

Printmaking:

• • Learn the basic of printmaking, and how to create many copies of your art.

Art History Introductions:

• • We will learn about famous artist, and different art movements, at age appropriate levels.

Throughout the class, we'll focus on:

• Developing fine motor skills.

• Encouraging creativity and self-expression.

• Learning the elements of art (line, shape, color, texture, etc.).

• Building confidence in artistic abilities.

• Safe use of art supplies, and proper clean up.

Our lessons will be tailored to different age groups, ensuring that every child can explore their artistic potential in a fun and supportive environment. Join us as we explore the wonderful world of art!
