Class Overview
Embark on an exciting artistic adventure! In our 'Art Explorers' class, young artists from Kindergarten to 6th grade will discover the joy of creating with a diverse range of materials and techniques. We'll journey through:
Drawing & Sketching:
From simple lines and shapes for our youngest artists, to more detailed observational drawing for older students, we'll explore pencils, crayons, charcoal, and more.
Painting & Color Mixing:
Dive into the vibrant world of color with watercolors, tempera paints, and acrylics. We'll learn color mixing, brush techniques, and create colorful masterpieces.
Sculpture & 3D Art:
Get hands-on with clay, paper mache, and recycled materials to build sculptures and explore three-dimensional art.
Collage & Mixed Media:
Combine different materials like paper, fabric, and found objects to create unique and textured artworks.
Printmaking:
Learn the basic of printmaking, and how to create many copies of your art.
Art History Introductions:
We will learn about famous artist, and different art movements, at age appropriate levels.
Throughout the class, we'll focus on:
Developing fine motor skills.
Encouraging creativity and self-expression.
Learning the elements of art (line, shape, color, texture, etc.).
Building confidence in artistic abilities.
Safe use of art supplies, and proper clean up.
Our lessons will be tailored to different age groups, ensuring that every child can explore their artistic potential in a fun and supportive environment. Join us as we explore the wonderful world of art!
