Teacher Reflection

Our teachers have become more than proficient in all things Google!

"One of the most beneficial ways that I have used our computers is to treat it like an agenda. When the students come in, they know to immediately get their computers out. After they log on, they go to Google Classroom to find out what they will be doing for the day beginning with their morning work. This has been a tremendous time saver!"

-Tanya Watson, 5th grade teacher

"Although I do not have a laptop cart, my Gifted Program has benefited greatly by the use of the individual student computers. We extensively use Google classroom and other aspects of computer software every week in every grade level. Students in grades 3-6 bring their personalized computers to my room on their designated day with me. This not only saves precious time (by not needing to go to a lab) but also teaches students how to be responsible with technology. Some of the ways they use technology include: Learning How to Code, developing independent study projects, creating scripts for Odyssey of the Mind, making spreadsheets, viewing Growth Mindset videos, doing surveys, etc. Thank you so much for providing us the opportunity to expand our students’ education through the grant so they have a strong head start with meeting the demands of 21st Century careers!"
