6th Grade: Global Weather Patterns Team Project

Students collaborate to research, create, revise, and present how global patterns affect the local weather of their assigned locations. They will research reputable resources on the web and create a presentation using Google Slides.

Through Direct instruction students will learn to:

LAFS.6.W.3.7 – Research to Build and Present Knowledge: Conduct short research projects to answer a question, drawing on several sources and refocusing the inquiry when appropriate.

SC.6.E.7.3 – Describe how global patterns such as the jet stream and ocean currents influence local weather in measurable terms such as temperature, air pressure, wind direction and speed, and humidity and precipitation.
