The show "Madison Moving On" was inspired by a former Brevard Schools' student.
It is the story of Madison, a little girl, whose family relocates from Kansas to Florida after her mother remarries. Madison is not happy about the move. In protest, she acts like a brat to her new teenage sister, Roxie, whose response is to leave Madison in their new house to unpack all by her lonesome. After crying herself to sleep, Madison wakes to discover Trixie, a naughty fairy, in her room. Trixie introduces Madison to her very own fairy godmother (Trixie’s mother) who insists that in order for Madison to get the one thing she has been wishing for (a return to her old life in Kansas), Madison must 'pixie sit' while the Fairy Godmother retrieves her lost magic wand from home.
However, Trixie is a tricky fairy who uses the not-so-lost wand to create all sorts of mayhem when she "magic's" Madison's' closet causing anything put into the closet to come to life. An Egyptian mummy, vain vampires, a mad scientist, a genius pageant queen and her fangirl friend, rude fairytale heroes (as well as a live dragon), a gangster shark, mermaids and more burst into Madison's new bedroom! Will Madison cling to her idealized old life or gain a new perspective and learn to make the best of things even if this isn't Kansas anymore?
